My father, Louis de Moll, was an architect by profession, principal of Ballinger Company in Philadelphia, designing schools, labratories, offices, and malls. He was president of the AIA in 1976 and theInternational Unionof Architects 1980-84.
Throughout his life, he devoted vacations and weekends to his passion for watercolors and sculptures. After retiring from architecture in 1988, he pursued painting fulltime, selling many of his works in galleries in Maine, Philadelphia, New York andWashington. He has had numerous one man shows and received awards and honors. In clearing out the storage cabinets in his Rose Valley, Pa, there are several hundred paintings still to be archived. Many of his works have been made into prints and cards and can be made available through special order on this site.
